Introduction
Inspired by the distinctive style of the music artist Future, this photoshoot aimed to capture the essence of an ‘album cover’ look while maintaining a professional model aesthetic. Although the shoot was spontaneous, with minimal planning, the vision was clear: to create striking, high-quality images that evoke the polished, urban vibe of a Future album cover. My role in this project was to ensure that the subject not only looked like a model but also embodied the mood and energy we sought to convey. Through careful direction and a keen eye for backgrounds, I helped to create a series of images that reflect both creativity and professionalism.
Result
The photoshoot took place across multiple high-class hotels in downtown Austin, with the aim of capturing a professional model aesthetic inspired by the music artist Future. We employed techniques such as flash and nightlight photography to enhance the mood and quality of the images. Collaboration with the model was key, as we shared ideas and experimented with different poses and settings. I provided direction by vividly describing how each scene should look, ensuring that our creative vision was fully realized. Despite facing challenges like limited equipment and budget, we adapted by using public spaces and incorporating props already available in the hotels, such as a record player. The model’s own wardrobe also played a crucial role in achieving the desired look. The final images successfully reflect the high-fashion, urban vibe we set out to create, proving that creativity and resourcefulness can overcome any limitation.
